Ceyenar Talk to an Expert

Family-run · Since 1975

Fifty years of moving materials

Ceyenar has been trading since 1975, and we are still a family business — answerable for what leaves the warehouse. We source and distribute polymers, specialty chemicals and ingredients for Indian manufacturers.

Our story

It has never left the family

The same family has run Ceyenar in every one of its fifty years. Raju Nair started it; N. Rajagopal is Managing Director today, and three generations have now worked in the business. We take pride in calling ourselves a “well-knit family organization” — people stay, and so do the accounts, and no layer sits between you and someone who can decide. None of that is policy. It is what a family-run company ends up looking like.

The trade began in Kolkata in 1975, natural rubber sold to Eastern India's processors under the name Allied Chemicals and Polymers. As Rajeev Nair and N. Rajagopal came in, the book widened into synthetic rubbers and allied chemicals, and the Kottayam branch, opened in 1991, became the head office it still is. Branches followed down the Kerala coast, across the southern states, west to Mumbai and back east to Bhubaneswar — the catalogue moving with them, through PVC in 2010 and on into engineering polymers, industrial lubricants and food ingredients.

Today we supply more than 3000 customers from 13 branches, in industries from rubber and PVC through to food ingredients. The trade is much larger now. We still run it the same way.

“We serve industry partners through the selective sourcing and distribution of polymers and chemicals, setting strong benchmarks in quality, sustainability, and customer service while fostering long-term relationships.”
